Minutes of a special meeting of the Common gouneil of the City of
Rochester,. Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers", in the City Hall, in said
o'clock
city'oid December loth, 1926, at 1:00/P..M.

Roll Call: Present: Weeks, Adler, Bach; Hicks, Nitzman, Posti.er,

Schroeder. Absent: None.
' The call for the special meeting was read; the said meeting being
called for the: purpose of approval of the official bond of !Qrs. Mary A. Anderson,
as City 111reasurer, -and such oVher business as said Common Council might deem
proper.
The official bond of '.2rs..Mary A. Anderson, as City -Trea-
surer, with
the Fidelity &� Casualty Company of New York, as surety thereon, in the amount of
50000.00,was read, and on motion by Hicks second by -Adler the said surety was
accepted, the said bond was approved and it was.ordered that the same be placed
on file . ,
The following copy of receipt given by Mrs. Mary A. Anderson, as
City Treasurer, to Thomas P. H^,11, retiring City Treasurer, was read,, and on
motion. by Postier second by 4'itzman it was ordered that it and the .accompanying

,I, Mrs. Mary A. Anderson, recently appointed City Treasurer to
fill the unexpired term of Thomas p. gall, resigned, laving duly qualified
on this date and prior to this receipt, do hereby acknowledge to have re-
ceived from '.`homas P.I Hall, the retiring City. Treasurer, the following into
my ease, custody and safe keeping, and proper accounting for, as the proper-
ty of the City of Rochester, Minnesota:

all of which have all interest coupons subsequent to
December 1st, 190-6, attached; statement of said in-

,which are received into my hands in accordance with the resolution
of the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, -nrhich

Upon motion byBach second by hicks the. City Clerk was instructed
to notify the local banks that Mrs. Mary A. Anderson. has Acquirdd an
official bond as City Treasurer, that the same has been accepted hod
approved by the Common Council of this City, and that they will honor
her official transaptions as City Treasurer, until further notice, and
that he notify the First State Bank &'Trust Company to allow her access
to the City safe deposit box until further notice.

The claim of C. C. Pickert, `�45.00 for pruning, dressin pitching
wounds, and repairing crotch tyings on trees at the Witherstine Property,
was read and on motion by Xitzman second by Hicks the sum of P,45.00 was
appropriated vrom the General Fund and it was ordered that the same be
Paid totC. C. Pi.ckert for the purposes menti0fied. ` `
The appointment by the Mayor of E. A, -Dison as a Specidl Patrolman
in the Police Department of said City for the period December t loth, . 1926,
to December 16th, 1926, inclusive, was read'and President Weeks ordered
that the same be placed on file.' t
