Hall from.its present location so as to open,up Broadway for this improvement, and Whereas Mr. Babcock seems inclined to push this work as rapidly as conditions will permit,. and one of these conditions is the removal of the present Fire Hall, and Whereas there are apparently not many building projects planned for the coming winter thus leaving labor in the building trades unemployed at a time when it becomes a hardship for them and their families to be deprived of their earnings, and Whereas, if the election for the voting of these bonds should be deferred until an amendment is voted .upon so as to permit voting on bonds at a general election, it would be more than eight months -before the work on the fire hall could be started. ' Now therefore, be it resolved V the Tax Payer's'League of the City of Rochester that the City Council be requested to call a special election at the earliest possible date to vote bonds"in art amount not to exceed the sum of Sint* Thousand dollars to provide the necessary funds. for the construction of a new Fire Hall to be built upon City owned property on' South Broadway in Block 102 of Willson' Addition. Gentlemen: WWhereas, Mr. Babcock has decided to route Highway #59 south on Broadway, and looks towards the removal of the fire hall so that work .can be commenced soon, and Whereas, there are not many large building pr o jeets for this winter, thus leaving .tabor in the building trades unemployed at this time. Therefore, be .it ..resolved that the eouncil.be requested to call a special session for the purpose of voting bonds for the erection of a new fire hall on.
