Present:'.Liddle, Erickson, Hicks, Miller, Rommel, Schroeder,,Vihstadt. .Absent: :None, Upon motion by Schroeder, second by Miller, the minutes of the meetings held on November 30th,1929, December 2nd,192 9,,, and December 4th,1929, were each .approved. The application. of J C. Adams, for transfer of histaxieab license No.29 from taxicabio,A=5, bearing State license No. B-377818, to Ford taxicab bearing State license No. B-383600, was read, and upon motion by Vihstadt, second by Erickson, transfer was gaiited. The report of the City Weighmast'er for the month of November,1929, sho, ing $40.60 collected as weighing fees; was read, and.President Liddle referred the same ...to the Finance Committee. General. The following communication was read, and President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file: " CITY ELECTRIC LIGHT AND WATER DEPARTMEPIT -Rochester; Minnesota Honorable Common Council ko' Rochester, Minnesota Gentlemen: Dece ber•23;1a29' Ins.ofar as our, investigations of c .nditions that would be encountered in the construction of a dam, which has been called the Silver Lake propo- sition, I am prepared to make my report on beveral types of construction showing the cost and the units upon which this cost. is based. • I wos under the: impression that there was a committee appointed which was to approve and sign with me this report,. This not having been done, I would prefer not to submit my report without the approval of the entire Committee In case unanimous approval of my.estimate of cost cannot be reached, I suggest that the remainder of the committee be instructed to submit a report, unit of costs, and:reasons for conclusions.of same, In this way, the separate reports may be compared, from which the council may select the one which they consider to be the most equitable. Upon motion by Erickson,'second by Miller, the Chief of Police. was authorized to 'attend the convention of peace officers .called by the Governor of the State of.Minnesota., at St.Paul.Minnesota, on December 28th 1929; his expenses to be paid by the City of Rochester.Minnesota.
