Upon motion by Hicks, second by Dallmen, the minutes of the meetings held on

City'Assessor, in his often repeated request for additional help the balance of
phis term of office, which said hlp would be at the expense of the City of Rochester.

Upon motion by Miller, second by Awundsen, the City Clerk was instructed to
request of the State Tax Commission that t'his Common Council be furnished with a copy

,,sessions of the 1930 Equalization Board, and that this be in the hands of Common

(;Council at their next meeting, if possible.

Ceorr;e A. Fezendin, of the Minnesota Department of Weights and Measures,
reported his rejection of the City Scales, and upon motion by Hicks, sec and by
Vihstadt, the matter of whether the old scales shall be repaired or new scFles
::purchased and installed, was referred to the Street and Alley Committee, with
request that they make report there un at the next meeting; o'f this Common Council.

Ne'than Bemel, of Brothers, asked tt_,at the Common Council take
favorable consideration of the matter of allowing his firm t,o remain in business at
,their pres.enl, location, and President Liddle asked that each member of the Common
Council bu prepared to act on an application for a junk dealers license, after
advising Mr. Bemel that that was the formal proceeding to et this question up for
;;definite action.

Alderman RomJnel introduced the following resolution, which was

"Be ilt. resolved by the Common Council of thE! City of Rochester,
Minnesota., !
That the Public Utility Board of said City be and the said Board
is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Ti. M. Feller, of said
City for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment,
necessary for the complete construction and installation of approximately
2000 feet of condenser intake line, for the sum of $29,700,00.
The amount of the bond to be liven by the said contractor is
h(:reby fixed at the sum of `290700.00."
Upon motion by Vihst.adt, second by Miller, that the said
resolution be adopted as read, and all voting; in favor thereof, President,
Liddle declared the said resolution duly passed and adopted.
The report of the City Weighmaster, for the month of October, I

130.20, were each read, and President Liddle referred the same to the
Finance Committee.

The report: of the Clerk of the. Municipal Court for the week ending

Upon motion by Hicks, second by Dallmar_, the sum of $28.75 was appropriated
from the General Fund and it was ordered that the same be paid to Olmsted. County,
Minnesota, for local municipal court fines collected due;to Olmsted County..

the same be placed on file;

General Fund and ordering payment made to the Rochester Post-Dulleti.n for Official
pub licat ionsand printing during November,1930, which was read.
Upon motion by Vihstadt, second by Dallman, that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Liddle declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Miller introduced a resolution appropriating 11166.92 from the
