Upon motion' by Rommel',' second` by Dal'lman, .the sum of $21,50 was appropriated fr on ' the General Fund and' it was ordered that the said sum be paid to Olmsted Vounty, Minnesota, for local Municipal Court fines collected 'due to Olmsted County. The January 1931 report of the tCity Engineer showing expenditures of $79.20 from the General Fund for labor,$547.71, from the Street and Alley Fund, $682.96'from the Sewer Pond, and $55+83from the Bridge Fund, was read, And President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file. ` The following report of the Building and Electrical Inspector as to his tests made of gas during January 1931, was read, and President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file: "Report of gas testing for January 1931. Alderman Rommel introduced a resolution granting public dance permit to Company C. 205th, infantry, Minnesota, National Guard,::., for the Armory February 3rd, 7th, 14th, and 17th,19310 and fixing the fee at $20.00, which was read. Alderman Miller-introduoed- a resolution appropriating $75:00 from the New Central Fire Station Fund and ordering.payment made to H _2& H. That the sum of $1160,81 be and the -.said sum is ' hereby appropriated from the Fire Protection Fund of.said City and ordered paid to the New Central Fire Station Fund, to cover overdraft made by disbursements through the last mentioned fund to Job 1561, for cotistraction,.equIpping; and furnishing of a new Central Fire Station, and Job 1582 for wreaking and removal of the old central fire station. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorizedand directed to draw a warrant for said sum upon the City Treasurer in.aocordance herewith and cause said payment to be made. Upon notion by Hicks, second by Amundsen, that the said resolution f! be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereat, President Liddle declared the said resolution duly passed and adopted. Alderman Dallman introduced the following resolution, which was read "Be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of Rochester:' ' That the sum of $.378*04 be and the said sum is ,hereby appropriated from the Fire Protection Fund of said City and ordered paid to Ahrens Fox Pire Engine Company for transmission, assembly for Ahrens. Fox pumping engine $504.95, less allowance for trammemission assembly unit returned $128,91. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorised and directed to draw a warrant for said sum upon the City Treasure Ir1 .n aocordanoe herewith, and cause said payment to be made. "WHEREAS, It'is deemed expedient and necessary that the City owned motor driven equipment in use of the City Engineer's Department for the graveling of streets, be repairdd and repainted, and WHEREAS, It would be rather` 1mpos`sible to prepare specifications and estimate of cost for this work; ' ° SO THEREFORE, Be it `'resolved by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota: That the City Engineer of said City, be and he is hereby authorized to secure the necessary labor.and.materials, and.to repair and repaint all motor driven egbipment in use of his department for. the graveling Ok streets, which said authority does not extend beyond an expenditure 'of $500.00."
