Meeting called to order by President Liddle. Roll Call. Present: Liddle, Amundsen, Dallman, R J_cks, Miller, Moody, Norton. Absent: ,None. Upon motion by Dallman, second by Amundsen, the minutes of the meetings held on March 28th91932 , March 30th,1932 , n.nd March 31st ,1932 , were ach approved. V Dr. TIans Stromber=_; requested the installation of a f chlorinator at the sewage disposal plant, at. a cost between $600.00 and „1700.00, c,nd also offered his services in the "technical control" of the sewage disposal plant at $175.00 per month during the four summer months, which salary would include the drayage of samples to the Clinic laboratory. Upon motion by.I-.T.icks, second by Amundsen, his request and offer were referred to the Sewer Committee and the City Engineer for their recommendation. , The following Council Committee appointments were read and President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file: "Rochester, Minnesota, April llth,1932. The report of the Health Officer for the City Fain, for the month of March,1932, showing receipts in the amount of $533*62, disbursements in the sum of $603.46, and an overdraft -of $132.84, was read, and President Liddle ordered that i the same be placed on file. The armual report of the Secretary of the Library Board, for the year endinc, December 31st919319 and a statistical report of the Public Library for the year ending December :51st, 19319 were each read, and President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file. } The balance sheet, income statements,etc., of the Public Utility Departments as prepared by the Secretary of the Public Utility Board as of March 31st, 19329w.+B:V* laid before the Common Council and President Liddle ordered that the same 11 be placed on file; the net profits in the Light Department for the month of March, 1932,being $3752.90, and for the year $1399330,92, the net profits in the Water i Department for March ,1932,being $8708.39, and for the year 043561023, and the net profits in the Steam Heating Department for March,1932, being 0471.69, acid for the year $4310.29. The annual report of the Public Utility Board, for -the year ending i March 31st ,1932, was laid before the Common Council and President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file. The report of the Clerk of the Municipal Court for the week ending April llth,19'529 showing criminal fines collected $170.20, court costs charged to i Olmsted County `} :.5.5, and fines collected and remitted direct to the State Treasurer I of $15.00, was read, and President Liddle referred the same to the City Attorney. • 1 The report of tl:_e Milk Inspector for the period October 15th91931 to April llth,1932, and a yearly report of his main activities, were eacli read, and President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file. Postier, as salary for extra services in plumbing inspection, in accordance with resolution passed and adopted July 6th91231. The report of the Building and Electrical Inspector for the month of March,19329showing buildin,r, inspection fees collected in the amount of $33.75, was read, and President Liddle referred the same to the i Finance Committee. Dooley, doing business as the United Plumbing and -eating COM'Pany, for a Plumber's license, was read, and upon motion by Amundsen, second by Dallman, license was granted. The plumber's license bond of the United Plumbing and y Heating, Company, with the Fidelity Casualty Company as surety thereon in the amount of $1,000.00 was read, and upon motion by Hicks, second by Moody+ the surety thereon was accepted, the said bond_ was approved; and it was orderer. that the same be placed on file. 707 The application of Fred- W. President, Liddle referred the purchase of a new pasoline p,nnn for use at the City Warehouse to the.Purchasin Co:nrnittee and the City Engineer. j President I,i(ldle .referred the Tenth Avenue Southwest and Fourth Street Southeast surface drainage matter to the Sewer Committee, and the City Engineer.
