of tho City of Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in the City
Aall, ,in said City, at 7: 30 o'clock P. M. , on October 6th, 1932.
Meeting called to order by President Liddle.
Roll call: Present: Liddle, Amundsen, Dallman, Flicks, Miller,
Moody. Absent-: Norton:
This being the time and place, fixed for the opening of, proposals
fc:^ the re -paving with dumber one 2�" Vit-rified Pavin+rick, of Sixth Street
Southwest, between the East line of Second Avenue Southwept, and the East line
of Seventh Avenue Southwest, and the repairing of the curbing on the said part
of Sixth_ Street Southwest, the following proposal of Fielding and Shepley, Inca
was opened and read (no proposal being made for the repair, )f curbing )
"To furnish and lay, according to plans and specifications,
746648 sq* yds. of 2-�" No: 1 Paving Brick in bixth St*.:.-.
Southwest, from Second Avenue Southwest to Seventh
Avenue Southwest for 11:75 per sq. yd. �3C63o90"
President Liddle referred the said bid for repaving and repair
of curbing to the Street and Alley Committee, and the City Engineer for their
reo ommendat ions.
The report of the Clerk of the Municipal Court for the week
ending October 3rd, 19329 showing criminal fines col.lected $26d00, civil .fees
received $4035, and court costs charged to, Olmsted County P6.15,, was read, and
President Liddle referred the same to the City Attorney.

The following communication was read, and President Liddle ordered
that the same be 'placed on file: '

Gentlemen:
A resolution passed by tour Honorable Body on October 3rd9 1932,
authorizing and requesting the Public Utility Board to appropriate- $219000000
from the Public Utility Fund to the Sinking Fund for the payment or $5,O0000
o the City of P.ochester 4 Impro.vement, Bonds rind 316,000, 00 City of Rochester
4V Sewage Disposal Plant Bonds, all maturing December 1st9 1932, was presented '
to the Public Utility Board for their consideration.
A motion to the effect that the rsquest and authorization of the
Common Council in this respect be not granted was passed by the Public Utility
Board with the request that the Honorable Common Council be notified thereof.

Upon motion by Ricks, second by Moody, the City Attorney
was instructed to prepare proceedings fo•r the refunding of 16;00000
Sewage Dispo'sal Plant Bonds, and t6- 001040 Improvement Bonds (New Central
I
Fire Station) , both of which mature December 1st, 1932, which refunding
bonds will be dated December 1st, 19329 and mature $49000000 on
December 1st in each of the years, 19339 19349 1935,E and 1936, and
$51,000600 on December 1st, 19371, the said refunding bonds to bear an;'
interest rate of 4-,R, payable semi-annually, June 1st and December lst.
-A circular letter, forms, etc: relative to securing
funds for unemployment relief under the Reconstruction Finance Corporation
' 11 Law, written and furnished by Morris B. Lembie, Minnesota Relief Ad-
ministrator, were read, and President LiddlP ordered that the same be
placed on file.

Alderman Miller introduced the following resolution, which
was read$
"Be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of
Rochester, Minnesota:

That the stun of $10734*83 be and. the said sum is hereby aPProP-•
riated from the Street and Alley Fund of said City and ordered paid to City of
Rochester, Electrid Department, for the furnishing of 3 15 KVA 6600 volt -trans—
formers, 1 motor, 5 KG 30 HP. P.G.E motor, 2200 volt, 3 phase complete with
automatic starting compensator, . and base; together with pulleys, switch, wire,
cunnectors, fuses, labor, etc., installed at, the so—called Grassle Gravel piti
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
f draw a warrant for said sum upon the City Treasurer in accordance herewith,
and cause _said payment to be made."
` Upon motion by Hicks; second by Dallman, that the said resolutian

be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Liddle declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Upon motion by Norton, second by Moody, the Common Council
