Mayor, President and Members of the Council Gent 1 enen: I. respeotflally, recommend that the Whippet Car now in use by the Health Dept., be replaced by either a new car or a good secondhand one. The present car has been in use over 6 years: Its appearance is even worse than the engine; etci; Coat of oil in the old engine is considerable; Cost of repairs is might and replacement of several parts will shortly be'necessary. Alderman Fryer introduced the following resolution, which was "Be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, `dinn esota: That the sum of $316.25 be and the said sum is hereby appropriated from the Park Improvement Fund of said City and ordered paid to Kruse Lumber and Coal Company for 175 barrels of Dewey Portland Cement at 12:65 - $463.75 less $17.50 discount, less $700,00 for 700 sacks and less $6000 for 600 sacks not deducted on July 30th, 1934 payment; the above 175 barrels being in car 700754. " The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to draw a warrant for said sum upon the City Treasurer in accordance herewith, and cause said payment to bonade.
