Gentlemen:
After careful consideration of the work in the City Clerk's Office,
and having arrived at a possible distribution of it for the twee persons
regularly employed in the office, I respectfully request that the salaries
of the City Clerk, the City Clerk's Stenographer and the City Clerk's
Second Stenographer be left for the balance of this year at the respective
sums fixed on April 1st of this year; I to per sonally pay for the Deputy
services.
