Alderman Moody introduced an OrdIrn-n.ce to 4mend an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance providing for the supervision and control of the sewers in the City of Roche :ter, being Ordinance #132"9 was given its .first reading. Upon motion by Lemmon second by Amundsen, the rules were suspended, and the said Ordinance was given its second reading. Upon motion by Moody second by Fryer, the rules were suspended, and the said Ordinance was given its third and final readingq Upon motion by Amundsen second by Richman, that the said Ordinance be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Liddle declared the said Ordinance duly passed and adopted4 P,lderman Fryer introduced an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance providinn for the appointment of a mechanic to be hired in the Street and Alley Department in the City of Rochester, and providing for his duties and compensation; was oi.ven its first reading, Upon motion by Green second by Fryer, the rules were suspended, and the said ordinance was given its second reading. A motion by Fryer, second by Amundsen, that the rules be suspended, and the said ordinance was given its third and final. reading, lost by the following vote. Births and Deaths; and that they shall receive from the County 25 cents for each birth and death certificate registered, and 50 cents from the applicant for each certified copy issued, Last year this amountod to t35140i .Previous to 1912 all such fees received by the registrar for Rochester registration district were retained by the 'eelth Officer, Since then and previous to 1926 these fees were turned in to the -eelth Department account at the Mayo Clinic to assist in financing the City :'iealth Department activitiesi Since the city budgeted the Health Department in 1926 the fees have been turned in to the City health Department Und: These fees rightfully belong to the Registrar concerned and as far as I have been able to learn are retained by him in all instances: I therefore respectfully request that you byresolution say that in thet future I shall not be expected to turn in the Registrars fees to the City Health Department fund.
