the offioial newspaper of said City, on April 3rd; 1936;' aad WHEREAS; On April 13th, 1936, at 7: 30 o'clock P.M , the said Common Council duly met at the Council Chambers, in the City Hall; in said City of 8ochester, and said public hearing was then and there held and all persons and parties interested in the said improvement who were present, were then and there heard before said Common Council in relation to the . said improvem wts, and the said Common Council having duly considered the matter of making the said improvements, and the reasons ' and arguments for and against the same; and deeming it expedient and necessary that the improvements be made; SO THEREFORE, Be it and it is hereby resolved by the Common Council of the City of Rochester; Minnesota: That, construction of curb and gutter on and that bituminous treat- ment, one inch (1"). in thickness be placed between the curb lines on the follow. ing described parts of streets and avenues: Seventh Street Southwest, from the East line of Eighth Avenue Southwest to east sidewalk line on Seventh Avenue Southwest; Alley running North and South in Block Noi24, Head and McMahon' s addition and entering on Seventh Street Southwest and Sixth Street Southwest Be it further resolved by the Common Council of said City of Rochester: That the aforesaid improvements and the wbole thereof be made and done and that the same are hereby ordered to be made and done in the manner and with the materials herein specified and that the whole cost and expense of making of the said improvements shall be paid for by special assessments levied as provided by lawn Be it further resolved by the said Common Council: That the City Engineer of said City be and he is hereby directed to prepare and file in the office of the City Clark detailed plans; profiles and specifications for the said improvements as herein set forth and to make and report to the said Common Council an estimate of the cost and expense for the making of the said improvement4 " Upon motion by Amundseq second by Richman, that the said resolution be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Liddle declared the said resolution duly passed and adoptedo The Assistant City Engineer. submitted plans, profiles; specificat- ions; and estimate of cost for the construction of curb and gutter on and the placing of bituminous treatment on Seventh Street Southwest, from Eighth Avenue to Seventh Avenue, and in the alley running north and south in Block 24 Head and McMahon's Addition, said estimate of cost being $1169486 for Seventh APR 13 1936 Street, and $142 40 for the Alleys Alderman Fryer introduced a resolution adopting the said plans; nd profiles ,�specifications for this improvement; and ordering that the same be placed on file, and accepting the City Engineer's estimate of cost, and ordering that it be placed on file; ordering that the whole cost and expense of the said improvement be paid for by special assessments levied as provided by Law;
