Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of
Rochester, Minnesota., held in the Council Chambers, in the City IIall, in said
City on May 79 1936
The meeting was called to order at five o'clock P. M: by President
Liddle, and upon roll call; the following members were presant: Liddle,
Amundnsn, Fryer, Green, Lemmon, Moody, and Richman. Absent-t-, None
The call for the special meeting was read; said meeting having
been called for the purpose of considering Morse Brothers Gravel Contract,
and any other business the Common Council might deem proper
Six applications by the Mid Continent Petroleum Corp. 'for permits
to place and maintain signs were each read, and upon motion by Moody second by
Richman, permits were grant ede
The claim of. Henry Lindberg and Joseph Schuster in the sum of
.118:00 was read, and upon motion by CTreen second by Fryer, said claim was
allowed and ordered paid from the General Fund; and the Mayor and City Ulerk
were authorized and directed to draw a warrant upon the City Treasurer and
make payment accordingly:
Alderman Green introduced the following resolution, which was
read:
"Be it resolved by the Common Council of the City OfRochester;
Minnesota:
That the following Gravel Pit Equipment, namely:
1 New Countershaft & Clutch for 18" Russell Conveyor with anchor plate
Mounting Angles
1 Used 21 y& Steel Bin W/Jack Legs
1 Used 5 yd Bin Wood Legs
1 Used #3 Shaker Screen W/New - Sand Chute
1 Used Type "C" Truck W/32"ft: Folding Bucket Elevator
1 New - 816 Univw Crusher W/32" Flywheels
1 Used 4 Plank 3 x 12 x 10 Long
1 New 6" 6 Ply Endless Drive Belt 75' Long
1 Used Mechanical Feeder
1 Used Tailing Hopper for #3 Screen

be and the same is hereby sold to Wm H. Ziegler Co. St. Paul, for the sum_
of $2500:009 payable in cash upon the delivery of a Bill of Sale therefor.
Be it further resolved by the said Common Council:
That the Mayor and City Clerk of said City be abd they are hereby
autho]ti:zed and directed to execute and deliver a Bill of Bale for the machinery
to the purchaser thereof. "
Upon motion by Fryer second by Ricbman, that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof; President Liddle declared the said
resolution duly passed and adopted:

Rochester to purchase the east 43 fedt of the west 3132+of the south 13 rods of
Lot 62, Section 369 Township 107, north of range 14 west, and the City Attorney was
instructed to prepare the necessary papers in order to exercise said option.
Upon motion by Fryer second by Richman_, the Common Council adjourned.
