HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-14-1936- j Minutes of an adjourned regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chembers, in the City Hall, in said City on September 14- 19369 The meeting was called to order at seven thirty o'clock P. M. by i President Liddle, and on roll call, the following members were present: ; Liddle, Amundsen, Fryer, Green- Lemmon, Moody; and Richman; Absent: None. On motion by Richman second by Fryer, the minutes of the meeting of Sept emb er 8 were approved® President Liddle announced this as being the time and place fixed for hearing on the construction of sanitary sewer in First Avenue Southeast, between Tenth Place Southeast and Eleventh Place Southeast, and asked if any- one present wished to be heard concerning .said improvement. There was no one present who wished to be heard regarding the above described improvement; President Liddle announced this as being the time and place fixed for hearing on the construction of curb and gutter in Fourth Avenue South- west from Second Street Southwest to Third Street Southwest, and asked if anyone present wished to be heard regarding this improvements Philip Gentling was present and opposed the proposed improvement. On motion by Moody second by Amundsen, the matter of the construct- ion of curb and gutter in Fourth Avenue Southwest from Second Street South- west to Third Street Southwest was referred to the Street and Alley Committee for further investigation. President Liddle announced this as being the time and place fixed for hearing on the construction of curb and gutter in Fourth Avenue Southwest from Sixth Street. Southwest to Seventh Street Southwest, and asked if anyone present wished to. be heard concerning this improvement: There was no one present who wished to be heard concerning the improvement as above described: President Liddle announced this as being the time and place fixed for hearing on the levying of special assessments for the construction of curb and gutter in First Street Northwest, from Twelfth Avenue Northwest to 4-1 (Thirteenth Avenue Northwest, and asked if anyone present wished to be heard concerning i these assessments: i I i� There was no one present who wished to be heard) President Liddle announced this as being the time and place fixed for hear- ing on the levying of special assessments for the construction of sanitary sewer in Fifth 'Street Northeast from Broadway to 180 feet East, and asked if anyone present wished to be heard: There was no one present to be heard regarding the levying of these I assessment so This being the time and place fixed for receiving and opening bids for i! construction of sanitary sewer in First Avenue Southeast from Tenth Place Southeast to i! A petition signed by J. A. Green ' Tom Moody " On motion by Amundsen second by Fryer, the Common Council was appointed as a Committee to further investigate the proposed labor ordinance change, and a meeting was fixed at five oclock P: M.
