HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-07-1937162 ., JAN - 7 1937 i Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City i of Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, in said City, on January 7th,1937. President Liddle called the meeting to order at 5:15 o'clock P.M.. the following members ]being present: Liddle, Amundsen, Pryer, Green, Hfmmon, Moody, Richman. Absent: None. The call for the special meeting was read, and President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on file; said meeting having been called for the purpose of changing the date for receiving.bids on the City Warehouse, and any othgr business which might be brought before the 11 Common Council-, Alderman Richman introduced the following resolution which was r ead: "Be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of Rochester. Minnesota: That paragraph 4 of a resolution of the Common Council passed and adopted on the 28th day of December, 1936; and approved by the acting Mayor of said.. City on December 29th91936, the same being a resolution providing for the construction of a City Warehouse building in the City of Rochester, Minnesota, accepting the plans and filing the same, and pro- viding for advertisement for bids, be and the said paragraph 4 is hereby amended to ,read as follows: Be it further resolved by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota: That the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby author- ized and directed to advertise_ for sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, . etc.,, necessary for the construc- tion of the new City Warehouse building in accordance with the said plans, profiles, and specifioations, which sealed bids will be received and opened at a meeting of this Common Council which is to be held in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, in said City, at 7130 o'clock P.M., on January 25th,1937. " Upon motion by Amundsen second by Green, that the said resolution I� be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Liddle declared the said resolution duly passed and adopted: The surety bond of the .Quality Motors, Inc., with the Fidelity & Casualty Company of New York, as surety thereon in the amount of $800.00, covering the delivery of one 1937 model Oldsmobile, was read, and on 163 JAN 1937 motion by Lemmon second by Green the;bond was accepted and the surety thereon approved and it was ordered, that the same be placed on file* - Upon motion by Amundson second by Green the action of the Park Board in instructing the Kruse Lamely, Lumber & Mfg. Company to remove certain buildings ly from Park property, was approved, and the proper officials were instructed to remove the said buildings provided the same are not removed by the said Krule N Lamells Lumber and Mfg. Company in a' reasonable length of time.
