President Liddle deferred the above bids to the Police Committee of the '

Common Council and the Chief Of Police for tabulation and recommendation. i
Louis J. Claude, Chief of Police, asked permission to employ the servicesi
of E.G.Conroy, SuperintendentSanAntonio Police Department Communication system, to
I
assist in checking and recommending said bids and that further action be deferred
until some future meeting of the Council, and on motion by Moody second by Fryer,
said request was granted.
The report of the Clerk of the Municipal Court for the week ending
i
June 6th, showing criminal fines and costs collected $556.209 conciliation court
I
fees received $8.50, and for the week ending June 13th showing criminal fines and
costs $135.00, civil fees received 0.25, and conciliation court fees received $4.00,
were each separately read, and having been previously approved by the City Attorney,
President Liddle ordered that the same be placed on.file.
The .following communication was read, and President Liddle ordered that
the same be placed on file:

To the Rochester Citvv Council,
Gentlemen: - Owing to the fact that other departments are closed
and there is little 'br nothing for me to do on Saturday afternoons,
I am asking your permission to close the scale office on those
afternoons during the summer season.
Those who do, occasionally call for gas have told me they could
just as well get it in the forenoon.
