President Lemmon not being present to occupy the Chair, on motion by Pryer second by Richman AldermanMoody was appointed President Pro Tem. Alderman Moody accordingly took the Chair and upon roll call the following, members were present: Amundsen, Pryer,Green, Moody, Richman, Williams, .Absent: L emmon . The call for the special meeting was read and President Pro Tem Moody ordered that the same be placed on file; said meeting having been called for the purpose of approving preliminary plans and P.W.A. applications for a sewage disposal plant, and any other business the Common Council might deem proper. Representatives from Ellerbee and Company were before the Coun- cil and presented preliminary plans and applications to be submitted to the Public Works Administration for a federe.l grant to aid in the financing of the U construction of a sewage disposal. plant. .Alderman Fryer introduced the following resolution,which was read i� j "Be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota: Section 1. That W.A.Moore and Amiel L,.Glabe,Mayor and City Clerk,respectively,of the City of Rochester,be pnd they are hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Rochester,Minnesote.. to the United States of America for a grant to aid in financing the construc- tion of a sewage disposal plant. fl ! Section 2, That W.A.Moore and Amiel L.G1.abe,Mayor and City 1; Clerk,respectively of the City of Rochester, be ci.nd they are hereby authorized j and directed to furnish such information as the United States of America through i� the ?ederal E�merpency Administration of Public Works may reasonably re;:Iuest in corinection ,with the application which is heremn authorized to be filed." I' Upon motion by Green second oy Amundsen,that the said resolution is j be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Pro Tem Moody declared the said resolution duly passed tend adopted.
