Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 481-15 Award of Contract - J1030 Lighting PWTOCRESOLUTION WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): J1030, Lightning Protection at Public Works Transit and Operation Center, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: 1. Neitz Electric $ 63,500.00 $ 65,200.00 2. Ryan Electric $ 92,170.00 $ 77,500.00 3. Premier Electric $ 91,842.00 $ 114,147.00 4. Hunt Electric no quote 5. Wilmar Electric no quote 6. Parsons Electric no quote WHEREAS, it appears that Neitz Electric is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota: (1) That the bid of $63,500.00 and $65,200.00 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the standard City contract for construction with Neitz Electric in the name of the City of Rochester for the following local improvements J1030, Lightning Protection at Public Works Transit and Operation Center, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Common Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. (2) The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed. All contracts shall be executed by the bidder within ten days after the contract is ready for his signature, and if not executed by him in said time, he shall be deemed to have abandoned the same. BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §325L.18, the City authorize the use of electronic signatures for all City documents.
