Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 087-17 Youth Fastpitch Form 7 RESOLUTION WHEREAS,pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): 2017 Rochester Youth Fastpitch Complex Expansion bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Package 1 Rochester Sand & Gravel $66,105.07 ECCO 79,000.00 AE Benike 84,450.00 Construction Collaborators 86,736.00 Key Builders 91,727.00 Schwab 93,500.00 JT Eggner 95,000.00 JD Drive 100,000.00 Package 2 Radcliff Homes $409,402 Schwab 427,000 JT Eggner 433,900 Key Builders 470,449 Construction Collaborators 482,344 ECCO 494,000 JD Drive 508,000 AE Benike 541,900; and, WHEREAS, it appears that Rochester Sand& Grave of Rochester, MN and Radcliff Homes of Rochester, MN is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota: (1) That the bid of$66,105.07 and$409,402.00 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the standard City contract for construction with Rochester Sand& Gravel of Rochester, MN and Radcliff Homes of Rochester, MN in the name of the City of Rochester for the following local improvement(s): 2017 Rochester Youth Fastpitch Complex Expansion according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Common Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. (2) The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed. All contracts shall be executed by the bidder within ten days after the contract is ready for his signature, and if not executed by him in said time, he shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
